Was President of the AFEAS in the Lanaudière region from1997 to 2001 (1,000 members) and also regional secretary since 2001

Was a member of the Provincial Executive of AFEAS (12,000 members) from 2001 to 2007, sitting as a Councillor and Vice President.

Women' Education and Social Action Association: There are currently in Quebec three hundred (300) AFEAS locals, grouped into twelve (12) regions, all linked to headquarters.

Afeas practices a "social egalitarian feminism." This type of feminism aims for women to obtain their own identity, equal status, freedom of choice, and autonomy in relation to the persistent inequalities in our society. Afeas, by its work, aims to modify all laws and codes that maintain gender inequality.

Francine Raynault : de militante de l’Afeas à candidate du NPD.
