Cigs are going out of style, joints are coming in.
Right now, there are at least as many people smoking bud as tobacco. I don't know any 'official' figures, but i see more kids rollin' a fattie than picking up a cig.
It's interesting to note how moral objections change with the fads. The media used to say "Cigarettes are good!" (backed by our gov.), and the majority baahed and shut their mouths when someone lit up. Now it's not considered cool to smoke cigs. It's not cool or 'right' to many people, but there is no problem taking smokers money!
Likewise with joints, but opposite. Pot was considered 'bad' by so many before, now it's increasingly more accepting. I suspect the leniancy (no spell check!) is a foreshadowing of a day when we can buy our joints at 7-11. Heaven knows we'll need a new income when smokers finally say "Fuck it!" and stop buying cigs altogether.
This is just my opinion, but i see signs of our country earning more and more bucks with drugs(namely pot). We've already got a pretty good grassroots and gang system set-up!

I just can't see myself inhaling the smoke of a burning material on purpose. Regardless of the material.

Um... pot is way more fun to smoke than tobacco.

Dope doesn't do anything for me. Just makes me lazy and hungry and I'm that way naturally so I just don't understand the appeal.

EDITED TO ADD: And I'm not terribly impressed with coke either. Could anyone recommend something else?

EFA,

you could twirl
around
and
around
and
around
and
around
and
around
and
around
on the lawn
and then
lay down and
stare into the
blue
blue
blue
blue
sky.

Gives me a buzz every time.
