The sad news in the Gil Scott-Heron thread has starting me thinking about great pieces of agit-pop.

I'm accepting nominations, but I've already decided that Number 1 has got to be Billie Holiday's mesmerizing and creepy Strange Fruit. Unless someone makes a really strong case for another song.

Also nominated are Elvis Costello's Oliver's Army, Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back, The Clash's London Calling & The Sex Pistols' God Save the Queen.
