I watched the premiere (well, most of it. I flipped between Buffy and JAG).

Personally, I like the Buffy-Bot better than Buffy herself, at least for the premiere. If I was writing the show, I wouldn't bring Buffy back for a while. I would have let the forces of evil totally take over Sunnydale for an episode or two. Let things get really bad. THEN bring Buffy back, and don't make her resurrection lame. Coming back from the dead should be a traumatic experience, and she certainly shouldn't come back looking like a Maybelline spokesperson. Bring her back ugly! She can always clean herself up after kicking some demon ass.

I FAR preferred the season premiere of Angel. It was way creepier. I love that Angel's arch-nemesis is a law firm.

I can't wait for the premiere of Gilles' new show. You did know he was getting one, right? It's gonna be produced in England by the BBC.

In the cold grey light of dawn I thought about it, and decided you're right. Perhaps Buffy, too, has jumped the shark.

I don't think we get Angel on our basic cable. What network is it on?

I don't even have basic cable. I get it with my rabbit ears on The NewRO. It comes on right after Buffy.

I don't think Buffy has jumped the shark yet. Joss Whedon still has a lot of weird shit rattling around in his cranium.

Will Buffy and Spike fall in love and get together? Will Spike's love for Buffy remain unrequited? What if Riley or Angel return to Sunnydale? What happens if Spike gets the V-chip taken out of his head? Will he still be friends with the scooby gang?

They haven't deeply explored Willow and Tara's dabbling with witchcraft yet. They did it a little with the premiere. Will Willow be tempted a little too much by the dark side? Maybe all her talk about being a "good witch" turns out to be a little naive on her part?

Anya used to be a demon. There's a hell of a lot of potential for good stories there.

I just didn't like the way they brought Buffy back is all. I still dig the show.

(I also don't buy the Tara/Willow relationship. Those actresses aren't convincing enough for me.)

Drucella took it away temporarily, Spike has changed.

I`m waiting for the BTVS rip-off of Rosemary`s Baby. Will comment Sunday.

PS. Anyone watch the Queen of Swords? What about DBZ?

Actually, that's something they are exploring on Angel. Some female vampire is pregnant, and that's not supposed to be possible. She's travelled to the Andes to talk to a medicine man about what the heck is growing in her belly.

Spike`s comments on education - Why teacher`s prefer buffybot

Did anyone see the season premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer yet. Well Spike was explaining to Dawn why her teachers seemed to like Buffybot. He explained that Buffybot was predictable and that teachers like predictable. He went on to tell Dawn that she has to go to school so that they could change her into an (sp?) Automotron.

Is ritalin a means of turning us all into compliant, polite and submissive automotrons? Also has anyone else been getting that naughty Buffy spam I keep having to delete - it is getting anoying - I keep wanting to scream at the top of my lungs "No, I don`t want to see this, that is why I keep deleting it without opening it!" Maybe it is just a hotmail problem.

Then, realizing this would make Buffy angry (he still doesn't know she's back -- neither does anyone else), he reconsiders, and tells her she'll be OK.

Don't know much about Ritalin, but I believe you're right. As for the Buffy spam, haven't seen it, though I doubt it's just a hotmail problem. I delete all spam unread, and since my home e-mail doesn't support HTML or graphics, I don't see that stuff even if I open a piece of spam.

I vaguely remember something I read/heard a while back.

If you give a group of students a "learning style" test (myers-briggs?), the vast majority of students have the exact opposite learning style than the vast majority of teachers.

Well, everytime there is a mismatch between teaching style and learning style it is the student that suffers most - since it is easier to alter or label the student that come up with a new method. This page (have to scroll down a bit - looks a personality type.

Personally I don`t like inventories with forced choices on them - I feel like I`m lying.

The way I look at things racism is racism - and the specific group one brings up is just a choses personificaltion or manifestation of racism (though there tend to be slight historical differences). Ever compare Buffy the Vampire Slayer to something like Xmen - where both vampires and mutants represent that which is different than human?

That time that Buffy killed that vampire who was keeping time with Riley - she was no danger to anyone - that one was strictly revenge. As a woman it is too easy to forgive her for that one.

Lance- I promised Audra not to bring up relevant things into conversations. Just say with children in general, like with protesters, there is a greater interest in social control and with adults a greater interest in keeping boring but high paying jobs. I don`t know if she would let me bring up the topic of curriousity - which is the opposite of boredom, because that has nothing to do with anything. Irrelevant - I love that word.

You're talking to the self-proclaimed King of Thread Drift, here. I can't remember complaining about ir/relevance (except maybe in a serious political argument).

As for Buffy, the other shoe dropped with the second episode. Much was explained, including the Maybelline/Clairol look (that was how she was buried). My faith in the show was restored. Wonder where they'll take this little gem.
