The Government of Canada, (Department of Canadian Heritage) has just launched www.culture.ca

I think it's sort of ass. I bet it cost them a fortune, and I bet it will prove to be useless.

Doug, I believe the point of the site is to be a portal for Canadian arts sites, so that you have one place you can go that is a comprehensive base for Canadian culture. The intent, anyway.

hmm. under radio, they only list the web site of one of the nation's community radio stations (CFRO co-op radio in vangroover), and there are dozens.

it's v.hard to navigate the "books, magazines and newspapers" section, since they've lumped 200-some groups into it.

i typed in "activist news" into the search engine, and in the results, rex murphy (4th place) beat rabble (6th place).
