I thought it was pretty funny too. And yes, I laughed out loud at that particular frame.

In other SOAP news (hey, cool acronym) - the front cover of the Toronto Sun has this headline about the extradition of the suspect in the JonBenet murder from Thailand to the US:

"SNAKE ON A PLANE"

That. Is. Awesome. It's about time that someone got around to exploiting the title of this movie.

Not going to lie. I saw that the night it came out. My friends and I totally went as a group and cheered.

When everyone else saw it was there lots of cheering and hissing?

I read some crazy review about the premiere opening of the movie last weekend in Ausin @ the Alamo; it was said that Quentin was in town and took the time off work to see the opening with his crew and had enjoyed it immenseley..but don't quote me.

This review also said that before the show there was a live snake show; with people pulling real snakes out of hats and what not..scaring the shite out of girls and everybody in the whole theatre. I'm sad to have missed that.

I'm going to say it's likely going to be the most popular "B" movie since.... Godzilla?

My brother saw it opening night: "There was, like, no story at all, it was just the Agent killing snakes and everyone else getting killed by snakes....... It was awesome!"

My friend's MOM made her go see the movie.

This is seriously the new Rocky Horror (I hope, because Samuel L. Jackson didn't get enough screen time in the RHPS).

edit:: I imagine Snakes on a Plane will have a musical eventually. Evil Dead did (WHICH WAS AWESOME).

I want to see it too. A friend of mine went with a bunch of his pals to see it on opening night. I teased and laughed at him when he told me he was going, but the more I'm hearing about what awesome B-movie dreck it is, the more I want to see it now.

Okay, I just saw "Snakes on a Plane". I need a moment here.

What have I done? I hate scary movies! And gross movies! I basically had my eyes closed whenever that "snakes are coming to kill everyone in sight" music came along. Which was all the frikkin time..... And those squishing and screaming sounds weren't helping matters!

SLJ had about 5 lines that were worth it, in 90 goddamn minutes, including the money shot/line which they made us WAIT for, but it was sooooo worth it. (Say it again, Sam!)

Thank god I saw it at the Rainbow Market Square, only $7.50! And 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back again.

Seriously, Michelle, go see it!

P.S. I may start a S.O.A.P. support group. Any joiners?

I saw it thinking it was going to be a comedy, and treated it as such. I found it hilarious, because it used so many horror/action movie cliches in such obvious ways (and with obvious foreshadowing of the outcome of certain passengers). I think this will be the cult film for some time, once it gets released on DVD.

For the record, I was the only one in the theatre (out of about 40 people) who actually cheered when the yappy ratdog met his eventual maker. I felt both alone and surprised, because the ratdog demise scene was a given. I mistakenly thought everyone in the theatre understood how these things work.

I was also extremely surprised that the lead-in story getting the snakes on the plane was relatively logical (not possible, but logical).
