Is David Tennant up to par ?

Having watched the first three episodes over the weekend, my feeling [and that of my various family members] is that Tennant's doctor is not as strong as Eccleston's doctor.

We've also seen a ramping up of Rose's cleavage, do we need this ?

Good to see Elizabeth Sladen and K9 back in the fray.

No, I could tell from the beginning that Eccleston is a better actor. I think that Tennant isn't bad, though. I wonder if they'll regenerate him next season.

How many regenerations is the Doctor up to now? I thought he was only allowed 12.

He started off shaky, but I think he's getting better and better. Keep in mind that unlike Eccleston, Tennant is a Who fan.

Where are you watching these? Or are you just downloading them?

Tennant's is getting better -- he is younger and more sprightly, so a big difference from previous doctors (except for Davidson).

Also, he mentioned half a dozen regenerations since he was with Sarah Jane, so that would mean there might be one more between McGann and Eccleston (although I'm not sure McGann's brief appearance in that one-off television movie count) or that we go directly from McGann to Eccleston giving us 10 doctors in all.
