From the collectible site's home page:

Here's a radiant tribute to all those who serve in the United States military. This sparkling, exclusive collectible figurine portrays a brave (and adorable) defender of freedom sheltered in God's loving hands. Editions are limited, so Hurry.

Yep.

I think the Lord hasn't the time to protect the (child with a gun) freedom fighters -- (S)He's too busy kicking up a sand storm to obliterate the enemy using non lethal means. IMHO that sand storm IS precisely the Divine's response to this war.

Wow, for a second there I thought that was a "Precious Moments" figurine (not that it would surprise me if it were). But it's definitely the same genre.

That's obnoxious.

At best. Personally I find this downright disgusting.

I agree it can only help the cause, I know a lot of Christians who object to all the religious rhetoric supporting the war, and a lot more who certainly don't find children and guns a good combination.

Re: the little "defender of freedom"

Tacky? Yes, very!

The most offensive demon-spawn ever to have poisoned this Earth? I'd say no to that.

I know I'd never buy this, but there are people who will, and to them I say go ahead and don't worry about anti-war and/or anti-American people criticizing your choice of useless trinkets.

This little objet d'art is disturbing on so many levels. Army-fatigued, gun toting, little cherubs, the presumption that someone's freedom is being protected...I'm truly and deeply troubled.
