So on a recent trip travelling, I decided I would want to send my friends some postcards, and proceeded to write an email to those people whose mailing adresses I did not have, and ask them for their mailing adresses. And then it suddenly occured to me... I have written down somewhere... a hundred or two phone numbers... thousands of email adresses, and *no* mailing adresses other than my own! I didn't even have my best friend's postal code, nor my own sister's.

So I got my friend's mailing adresses, and sent them post cards a while later, and most of them seemed surprised and thanked me - by email.

I wonder how some who have gone through the cultural-technological transition from snail male to email and how they see it. Do you find yourselves writing differently, do you think the changes are good or bad for people's ability to express themselves?

I quit talking to people who don't have email. I didn't mean to, I just don't use the phone anymore and haven;t bought a stamp in months.

Except for seniors - for them I make the effort.

I have been on CNN twice. The first time, after I appeared, I returned to my office and found over 800 new emails.

So, if I didn't know the source person, I deleted 'em.
