Miles is dead and Ozzy is a zombie, but Miles will always rock harder.

Hey, I've bought 'Kind of Blue' five or six times. But he should have his own museum. Like a jazz museum.

I don't know what this thread's about, but I spent a day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland two years ago. Fantastic stuff on display, including some Hendrix stuff that made me drool. I have some souvenirs that I'll try and find and describe if anyone's interested.

2006 inductees: Black Sabbath, Blondie, Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Sex Pistols.

Yes to all of the above. Great class of inductees.

I had a tape with Slayer and Motorhead back to back. Saved my life, one summer.

I don't know about Skynyrd, actually. Didn't they write Sweet Home Alabama as a response to Neil Young's Southern Man? And weren't they kind of fans of the Confederate Flag? I like their music alright, though...

Why not Miles? His rock/jazz fusion stuff (In A Silent Way, Bitches Brew, Jack Johnson) was very influential.

Grrr... I knew somebody would mention Bitches Brew. You're right, I have no case.

Black Sabbath is pretty limit so would fit in, but why bring up Motorhead and Slayer? They are not Rock and Roll bands, they're metal bands.

A rock an/or roll museum is as useless an idea as a Masterbation Hall of Fame.

Hey, some of us suck at playing sports, and are useless with music-- we have to aspire to something.

Why don't you actually go there? I soent a day at the museum/hall of fame in Cleveland, I would have stayed a few days if I was able. It's great, and lots of concerts.

You went to the Mastrubation Hall of Fame? Cool. Is that the one at the base of the CN Tower?

it just seems so wrong to induct the sex pistols into any hall of fame. they're being institutionalized.
