Anyone catch Joni on CBC's The National tonight? I thought it was great. I've loved Joni since I first listened to her first album in 1968 I think it was, although when she went to jazz, I thought it was time to dig out the old albums again.

When I learned that "Little Green" was about the daughter she gave up adoption 30 years ago, I had to go back and listen, like someone said on the CBC clip.

My favourite image of Joni was in 1968 when she played the old Capitol Theatre in Ottawa, dressed in a long, flowing red velvet dress, her blonde hair cascading down. God, she looked incredible.
