There is a theatre show that is making waves in Montreal - The Anorak by Adam Kelly. Here are some of the media articles, and it was in Saturday's Globe & Mail:

With the recent shootings at Dawson College, it is a timely topic. However, one must ask if it is appropriate to bring Lepine back to life onstage.

quote:
Adam Kelly monte ensuite sur scène, annonce aux spectateurs qu'il s'appelle Gamil Gharbi, nom de Marc Lépine à sa naissance.

My translation: "Adam Kelly then gets on stage, announces to the audience that his name is Gamil Gharbi, name of Marc Lépine at birth."

Stirring a bit of bigotry, just to spice things up.

Marc Lépine himself renounced his name and origin. Actually he is a home grown misogynist.
But Hey, why not stick it to the "others".

This not a wise move, it is plain stupid, drives the issue of misogyny and violence against women to the "others" 's doorstep. APperently the messahe is that this evil comes from that side of the assassin, it could have never been one of our own. No Sirrie !
