I've come to the conclusion that the elitists at the CBC Radio 2 will forever play classical music to the exclusion of virtually everything else. So, when I'm on the computer I now play Live 365.

Anyway, I like alt.country the most and am listening to:
http://www.live365.com/stations/bootliquorroy and
http://www.live365.com/stations/dapples

I think the first might have better sound quality than the second, but, what do I know?

Of course, if CBC Radio 2 distributed their time more fairly, I could also listen to Canadian alt artists like Kathleen Edwards, Sarah Harmer, Ron Sexmith, the Wailin' Jennies and the Be Good Tanyas. Boot liquor radio did play an Oh Susanna song though, so, props to them for that.

Maybe I'll give CBC 'Radio 3' a try sometimes.

Evil old CBC 2. Today I heard Jurgen Goth play bagpipe music!

I heard the fabulous Canadian chanteuse, Julie Nesrallah, on CBC 2 a few weeks ago.

I saw her live a year and a half ago when she sang the lead role in Carmen here.
