This was one of mine. Sure she seemed a little wasted, and messed up the lyrics, but I think her heart was in it, not unlike much of my younger years. So any other fond perhaps bitterseet memories?

cool thanks

This is not a show I was familiar with, having only 3 channels in our remote community, one of which was always full of 'snow'

I don't think Patti was wasted, that's just Patti trying to make a crappy song work for her and her audience.

Dunno what it was about that song or about Patti that seemed to make it so important for me back in the day. It was like a peice of music from a movie which was stolen from the original singer (Casey Cisyk) and appropriated by some lame whitebread singer who made mills (boone) and resurrected by Patti. Taking back the power and all or something.
Similar to what happened to Jevetta Steele and "Calling You" from Baghdad Cafe, which still sends chills up my spine. Also it was one my first date movies. Deary deary me, i am getting so old and bald.

Really for me it was her originals on Radio Ethiopia and Easter, that I thought were great. Never been a fan of ballads.
