A couple of weeks ago I thought of asking about a comic we'd seen on Just for Laughs one night, a Canadian who seems to be holding the mike so that he can hide behind it, and who lets his voice break at the end of many sentences -- actually, that voice break seems to be the signal to laugh.

But that's all I knew about him -- missed his name before he started his routine.

Anyway, I thought he was hilarious -- the sneaky, nervous-boyish delivery is definitely part of what makes him funny, but he had me doubled up through that monologue.

I just heard him on CBC radio, and this time caught his name, sort of, at the end of the show. He is a Jeremy -- and the last name sounded something like Hots. ??? Has anyone else seen or heard him? Know what his last name is?

Jeremy Hotz.

He played a writer in Ken Finkleman's The Newsroom.

I saw that bit on TV. I was wondering why he was acting so shy and nervous. I don't remember this aspect being in his other acts.
