I thought it was pretty good.

It was a good balance between street footage of the demonstrations and interveiws with activists.

Furthermore the editing was such that the interviews fit quite well with the footage being shown (such as when Erin George talks about the labour march to nowhere and then the film cuts to the march marshels trying to stop a breakaway march to the fence and CAW workers being hosed by water cannons).

The overall analysis presented was consistant with the overall participation in the demonstrations. That is predominitly left-liberal but also some anarchist and anti-capitalists (such as Jaggi Singh).

And your hair looked great statica!

I really enjoyed it and the fact that it was a Libertas fundraiser makes it even better, seeing as I was arrested on July 28.

Does anyone plan on seeing We Interrupt This Empire on either the 21st or 28th?

i really liked how they paid attention to the 'to go or not to go to the fence' conflict between unions and ordinary anti-glob folks, especially the footage where the union marshals are trying to bully people out of breaking rank to crossng the marshal line to take on the fence as opposed to listening to boring speeches in an empty parking lot...

i know that was kinda a tense point, because it makes unions look bad, but it did happen!!!!!!, so it's important to note the lack of seattle spirit in some instances, while also pointing out that some union femmes and guys 'disobeyed' their orders and went to the fence to support 'those crazy kids' anyway.

and ya, mick, it was kinda bizarre seeing my ugly mug so large, giving some radical artist talk about creative forms of resistance....but ha! you think that hair style was wild...check this

oh my god, my poor mother!!!

If you didn't get a chance to see "Tear Gas Holiday: Quebec City Summit" at the Bloor Cinema, there will be more screenings in Toronto and across Canada. The 75 minute film is also available on VHS from TVAC, so if you want a copy, just go to the website:

TVAC should probably consider putting out DVD's of their films.
