Why are HBO series so good??? They blow away anything on the networks.

My faves -- Six Feet Under, Carnivale, now Rome.

Because they're free from the constraints of commercial televison, and they're willing to takes risks by tackling the non-conventional, whether it be the mob, polygamy, or the business of death. Big Love is good, and actually has been more interesting than the current season of The Sopranos.

Absolutely Fabulous
Little Britian
Ali G
Sex and the City
