War museum hopes to stop destruction of 19th-century musket.

"The Canadian War Museum is hoping to acquire a rare, 19th-century British musket before it's destroyed along with other firearms submitted to police during a recent gun amnesty in Hamilton."

Rare musket escapes furnace

"A rare British musket that was only weeks away from being turned into molten iron will become a centrepiece exhibit at a famous Hamilton museum."

This item of Canadian history was saved by members of the “War of 1812 Living History Group” out of Canada and the United States.

If you have any items that may be of interest to a museum of any type, please contact me and I can forward you to a contact that could help you save another item of historical value.

This group of people are from all walks of life and are interested in saving all items of historical value.
