Well, look what we have here. MORE channels! Just what our society needs! Just in case you didn't spend enough time on your ass, here's some more sub-par programming to waste your time on!

Okay, I must admit, that blurb above is a big fašade. I'm actually looking forward to some of them.

Here are some of the titles:

  • ONE: The body, mind, and spirit channel

Okay, so I'm looking forward to this one.
  • Discovery Civilization
This one too...
  • Book TV
Sounds good in theory, but if you read a lot, what are the chances you'd spend more time watching TV? And what kind of programming do they have, anyway? Interviews? Reading?
  • Fashion TV
  • Sex TV
  • Men TV
  • Pride Vision
  • Beats Per Minute
  • Vibe TV/Much Vibe
  • Animal Planet - already existed, but I guess not in Canada
  • Movie TV
  • TV Land
Whatever thats about.
  • Mystery
  • Deja View
  • Biography channel
  • BBC Canada
  • Issue Channel
  • Tech TV
  • National Geographic Channel
  • Documentary Channel
Sorry, I'm looking forward to this one too.
  • Travel Channel
  • Country Canada
  • Lone Star TV
  • Independent Film Channel
  • Movie-Ola
  • Drive-In Classics
  • Show Case - Action
  • Show Case - Diva
  • And a whole wack of sports Channels including WTSN, ESPN, The RAPTOR Channel, and Xtreme

If things keep up the way they are now, by mid 2003 you'll be jumping between "The short lived moderately mediocre Sitcom Channel" and "Varnishing TV".

Meades, I would ask the converse. If you spend more time watching TV, what are the chances you'll read a lot?

You never really told us about your NY trip, btw. Or did I miss it?

So, one more day of freedom... tick, tick, tick...

rasmus: I had no idea any of you were interested. Maybe I'll start a new thread to tell you all about it instead of clogging up an existing one.

Tomorrow I go back to school, yes its true. Hell, I haven't even done laundry yet. I don't think I'll be ready. Oh well. I am looking forward to seeing my schedule, though.
