I love that piece as well, Makwa, but you've misspelled "homicide" and, yes, it does matter.

BTW, I think that is Amy Brabson in the video, who played Penbleton's wife Mary in the show and who is married to Andre Braugher, the actor who played Frank Pembleton, in real life.

Braugher was brilliant in that role. In his Wiki biography I see that he has also played the lead role in Henry V.

Have I posted this before? It's one of my favorite commercials ever. Anyone who lives in southeastern Ontario (Kingston, Belleville, Trenton, Gananoque) or in Upstate New York will recognize this guy. A personal injury lawyer from Rochester.

P.S. Mycroft, after I got over my initial shock and kept reading, I almost peed myself over some of those lines.

That's a little bit of slieght of hand. The question posed was, "If he had to select a Republican" running mate.

There was no sleight of hand. Kucinich made it crystal clear that he thinks Ron Paul could have a role to play in any administration he would lead.

Not only does Kucinich utterly fail to expose Ron Paul for the dangerous man that he is, but he helps to perpetuate the widespread liberal ignorance that allows many self-styled progressives to imagine Ron Paul as a desirable president. For that, Kucinich should never be forgiven.

quote:
That question came up earlier when people asked me what kind of a person would I like for a running mate... they just assumed I'd be saying a Democrat. As the Democratic nominee, I'd consider Ron Paul, because I think that he is someone who has integrity, he has vision, he has courage...

The American eagle ... needs two wings to fly - it needs a right wing and a left wing....

He (Ron Paul) and I agree tremendously on international policy....

I admire him, and he's my friend. On domestic policy, we're pretty far apart. But you know I think that we could work with each other to talk about the direction America is capable of and find ways to meet a common ground...

I want it known as the nominee of the party that I keep my options very wide open. I want our party to be able to have the broadest appeal...Ron Paul is a person who could help us do that.

That's hilarious. I'll bet Bill O'Reilly is pissed that that's floating around out there. Reminds me of the audio recording of Casey Kasem wigging out in an outtake of one of his top 40 shows.

I'll never understand why people like that think they can get away with treating their production staff like shit, and screaming at them - while they're recording them! Surely they must know that they're going to get burned by some disgruntled staff member that they screamed at once too often.

This is the Casey Kasem one.

Aww, they cut off the best part! At the end, he says, "Ponderous, man! Fuckin' ponderous! Ponderous!"

Then he goes on to say something like, "Tune in this Saturday morning and every Saturday morning at two... TWO!?!?"

Former World Chess Champion and Kremlin critic Garry Kasparov has been attacked by a radio-controlled (flying) penis during a meeting of opposition activists. Pro-Kremlin demonstrators decided to interrupt Kasparovís address, designed to unite opposition political forces, by launching a rotor-assisted plastic phallus towards Mr Kasparov. The unconventional chopper managed to stay up for at least 20 seconds before stunned security guards swiped it out of the air.

The prank was staged by "a couple of pro-Kremlin Young Russia activists" reports the Moscow Times. Mr Kasparov was unharmed. Kasparov laughed off the incident remarking that it was "below the belt" .

The news is already making major headlines and a video has appeared on the internet.
