I am a high school teacher and the daughter of Holocaust survivors. Monday morning, Period 1, a student, age 17, comes into my room. She asks me if I had seen the film "The Passion."

I answer, "No."

She continues, "It was so sad. I cried so much. I hate the Jews."

Very, very sadly, that tells the whole story, Mr. Gibson.

This is so sad...

Sad that the kid doesn't seem to realize that Jesus was a Jew, as were his disciples and most of his early followers.

Duh.

That's the problem with kids, they aren't all sophisticated...some need direction in order to properly understand the world. Good thing Mel "Leni" Gibson is teaching the youth of America about proper values and such.

Really. Good things parents are taking their kids out of school to attend the film, and whole church congregations are renting theatres so they can be sure that their adherents get the guidance on religious tolerance that they need.

Lovingjoy Pentecostal Church sign: "Jews killed the Lord Jesus"

quote:
A custodian for the synagogue discovered about 10 markings when he arrived Saturday morning. Purim was celebrated Saturday night and Sunday. Police had not made any arrests by Monday.

Elise Zakroff said she was sure the film inspired the graffiti.

"What Mel Gibson did is terrible," Zakroff said. "It is happening all over. We are tired of anti-Semitism. All we want is peace."

Dumbasses who see the movie without fully understanding its contexts are the real enemies here.
