It's not on TV, but you can watch the Canada-USA semi-final Thursday evening live on the internet here.
quote:
Canada advanced to the Gold Cup semifinals for the first time since 2002 with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Guatemala on Saturday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.

This will be the second time in the history of the tournament that the U.S. will face Canada in the semifinals. The last time was in 2002, when the U.S. won 4-2, in the penalty shoot out.

The stage is once again set, however, this time the U.S. had a fantastic opening round winning all three games and did not allow a single goal.

In the quarterfinals the U.S. had a rough time against Panama, which they beat 2-1.

Canada is the other side of the coin. They won Group A with a 2-1 win against Costa Rica, then they were stunned by Guadeloupe by the same score, and they closed group play with a 2-0 over Haiti.

The Canadians looked powerful in the quarter finals when they beat Guatemala 3-0. That was their second clean sheet in as many games.

Canada has one Gold Cup title. They won their lone title in 2000 when they beat Colombia in the final, while the U.S. has three titles and will try to advance to their sixth final in the competition.

They won in 1991, 2002, and 2005, but they lost to Mexico in the final in 1993 and 1998.

The game against Canada is scheduled for June 21 at 6 p.m. ct in Chicago’s storied Soldier Field.

Mexico and Guadeloupe will play three hours later to define the Second finalist.

"Two first-half goals was all the United States needed as it posted a 2-1 victory over Canada in a semifinal game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup Thursday at Soldier Field. Frankie Hejduk’s goal in the 39th minute and a penalty kick tally in the 45th minute by Landon Donovan exemplified an impressive first half that saw the U.S. dominant on both ends of the field."

30 min - Dangerous Free Kick for Canada
32 min - DeRosario hits the post with the free kick

73 min - Nice save by Keller after a DeRosario Shot
75 min - Hume shoots just over the goal
76 min - Goooaaall Canada by Iain Hume
77 min - What a fantastic goal by Hume
79 min - Hume saves a ball on the goal line

92 min - Dangerous free kick for Canada
95 min - Canada just has a goal disallowed

With Canada's high immigration rate and the fact soccer is one of the few affordable sports for the middle classes, Canada should become a much stronger soccer country within the next two decades.

"Mexico is looking to end Guadeloupe's fairytale run and move on to the finals."

Guadeloupe, with less than half a million people, against Mexico, with 106 million, scoreless after 32 minutes. Go Guadeloupe!

Do you realize that not once in your thread title or the opening post is it indicated which sport you're talking about?

Heh. No, but usually it's obvious in the opening post that we're talking about hockey. I was just chuckling because I wanted to make absolutely sure it was soccer, but then noticed that nowhere in the opening post was there even a clue that it was soccer. I just thought it was funny, that's all.

That was a test. You passed, but not with an A+.

Meanwhile, no score against Mexico after the first half.

That reminds me of a boyfriend of a sister of a friend who once asked, "The World Series of what?".

But, honestly, Canada was robbed (again) by shitty officiating. My U13 team understands the offside rule, but can they find a ref who does?
