over the next few times i'm using the ttc, i'll be handing out about a dozen copies of a disc given to me by my friend dave, the lead guitarist of a band called avenue road. the album is titled:

"AVENUE ROAD
burn this cd v.2.0"

the liner notes read in part: "duplication in whole or in part of this recording is not only allowed but encouraged. please help us spread the word about avenue road by burning this cd for one or ten of your friends. thanks!"

the discs i hand out will be marked:

"AVENUE ROAD
BURN THIS CD V.2.0
BURN FOR 1-10 FRIENDS
www.avenueroadband.com"

so if you get such a disc handed to you, it's just some tunes by some friends of mine that i think you should give a listen to. if you like it, or if you don't get one but are strangely intrigued by what five musicians of diverse backgrounds and interests can come up with, check out the website, www.avenueroadband.com for upcoming shows, merch, band contact info, lyrics, etc.

also (especially for those outside the gta who have no immediate chance of getting handed a copy) if you are interested in hearing "5 everyday people - the kind of people you would meet at a party and want to hang out with" just rock out with incredible talent and passion, search the p2p networks for 'avenue road' and/or any of the song titles listed on the band's site - you might not find anything this week, but that don't mean you shouldn't search again next week, or next month -
