So Eminem has a new song out that I just heard on da ol' Mexican radio called "Lose Yourself." Apparently there is a quite an uproar over this as the station is "New Rock" (the Edge for you Taranna listeners) and a lot of callers registered their dismay that a "hip hop" artist was being played on their "rock" station. Ah, the days of Deadly Headly are long gone...

Anyway, I'm sure I'll be hearing more about this song. Here are the lyrics:

I don't see why they'd complain..."The Edge" hasn't played real rock music in years as far as I can tell....Creed and Blink182 just don't qualify....The whole major label radio game is suffering right now...Eminem has been one of the only sure things for the industry of late....which is probably why 102 was hoping he'd be some kind of crossover artist....

In a fair and just universe only CBC and college radio are allowed to grace the airwaves....haha.

I'm really sick of hearing the same old tired whiney rock stars and gangster thugs....Eminem has just written the requisite "pity the obscenely wealthy yet troubled artist" song....And he really doesn't have to at this point, as he is still the biggest selling artist...If ONLY his 5 minutes of fame were up!

I'm hoping that eventually this bullshit will end soon, so we can all go back to worshipping the ghost of Kurt Cobain....well, maybe not quite like that....but we definitely need a radio station in that plays decent music (w. lots of independent artists) and has a signal that carries for more than a 2 mile radius....CBC is good but the music only happens at ungodly hours of the night for some reason....
