The woman who coined the expression "Wake up and smell the coffee!"

Well, she was a lot more fun than -- who is that nasty woman who's taken over the airwaves since? Or Dr Joyce. Or Dr Ruth. Or even Martha Stewart.

ie Dr. Laura Schlessinger, a moral majority, anti-gay, anti-sex before marriage, anti-divorce zealot who calls herself a doctor in regards to her profession giving advice despite the fact that her doctorate is actually in physiology. There are, apparently, nude photos of her somewhere on the internet taken by the married man with who she had an affair some years ago.

And those nude pictures are right here. (boss warning: this URL goes directly to the nudies)

I take special joy in sharing this website with all and sundry.

That woman hasn't stopped telling me what to do since she got up here! But thats OK, she's basically a good ol' girl. Reminds me a bit of Jebus' mom.

She was spoofed on a memorable episode of "Frasier" by the character "Dr. Nora." and, indeed, for people who saw that episode Dr. Laura, the family -is-everything person, hasn't spoken to her mother for about 20 years.

Dr. Laura's show has been cancelled in major markets. I am happy to say she has left the Harford, CT market and replaced by local programming, finally.

It truly was awful to hear her self-righteous lectures directed against, weak, tearful women who always said, "You're right!"

I saw the nude pix, actually they must have been taken twenty years ago, although she must be nearly mad to know the whole world can see them (then again, she must be nearly mad to know she is waning in the limelight, thank goodness)

3 cheers for Dr. Laura!!! Now I know she espouses Republican Party politics, that she's against abortion, etc. etc. But she does give damned good advice to people with problems. What's wrong with that? Displaying nude pictures of a younger Dr. Laura is just a slimey cheap shot. When a person gets older they may regret some of the actions of their misguided youth. Should this history be thrown at them later in life? I don't believe that that is enlightened at all. Maybe some of you babblers are too young to appreciate this. Wait 30 years! You'll blush with shame and embarrassment were someone to remind you of some of your youthful misdeeds.

Now about abortion. The "right to choose" is one matter and I agree with that and I disagree with those who would deny that right unilaterally. But, the "right" to choose does not make abortion "right". Perhaps the trendly "left" and "progressives" should keep that in mind.

Ms Schlessinger's still being carried on CFUN 1410, a whacko Vancouver station that also used to carry Art Bell.

But, see, on that station she's followed by their local idiot, Pia Shandel, who makes Ms Schlessinger sound good.

Any Vancouver babblers, sorry to have reminded you of Ms Shandel. (But don't bother trying to send me repair bills because you've just spit Coke on your keyboards). For other babblers, don't bother trying to find her on the net. Really. I'm serious. You've been warned.

I just checked...Ann Landers is still dead.

Art Bell? Is he the guy what talks about aliens all the time? I recognise the name from mojo.com, from which I listen to Toronto Maple Leafs' games.

So what's the deal with Black Angus Beef?

Black Angus beef? Something new on the market? Different colour and taste? Cheap? Immune from madness?. Not really a beef but a vegetable dressed up as a beef? I gotta know.

Some place in Trawna advertises "Black Angus Beef" during Leaf games on mojo.com. Black Angus is a breed of cattle, like Hereford or Charolais. What I don't get is what's special about the flesh from this particular breed.

Does this count as thread drift?

Does she look young to you? She looks attractive to me, but in a well-preserved way, not a young way. Look at the lines on her face and on her neck - her hair is dyed blonde and she's got enough make-up on to choke a mule, but she doesn't look extremely young to me. I would guess middle-aged - maybe late 40's at the youngest, or in her 50's.

HAHA! Well, everyone can't look like Cindy Crawford. For a normal, everyday, middle-aged person, she's not too bad-looking, Arch.

Define what is unattractive about her. She's of normal weight, her features are symmetrical and not unpleasing, her teeth are straight, her hair is groomed decently...I'm not sure what is "horrorshow" about her.

Except for that tortoise-skin neck, she looks like a shark.

I don't see that other stuff you mentioned.
