the globe and mail had most of a page about kinsella and shit from hell back in august. i don't keep old papers, else i'd drop a few quotes from the article... perhaps someone here has access to the globe's archives and could dig up a few quotes.

Hell, it seemed like the Globe ran that story in every section over that week. Focus, Books, review, Business, Autos - you name it, there was Warren with a bass strapped to him leering at you Billy Idol style.

He's talking up a second career - just in case David Herle, Murphy and Co. get an extension on their lease in Ottawa!

I've never seen a more scathing commentary on the superficial nature of punk then the fact that a political insider who now makes a living lobbying for polluters is taken credibly by anyone as an angry punk rocker "outside" the mainstream.

What a joke. On every level.

But who takes Kinsella "credibly as an angry punk rocker"?

Kinsella certainly does. Did you see how shrill and angry he got over a reviewer's less-than-complimentary review of his book, Fury's Hour?

If Kinsella's not learning that "fury" is really only interesting in the young, he's making the huge mistake of growing old disgracefully.

I'd like to see his band transport back in time and do a house show in East London around 1982ish. I would pay money to see the crowd reaction.

And then there's Warren Kinsella thinks he's punk.

Does Kinsella really think he's punk, or does he just like the music?
