Okay, before you throw things at your computer screen consider this:

We are 350 days from the release of "Spider-man The Movie".

I am beyond the valley of excited regarding this movie as I have been a HUGE fan of Spidey since I was a boy.

Tobey Macguire is Peter Parker/Webhead
Kirstin Dunst is Mary Jane
Willem Defoe is Harry Osborne/Green Goblin

So, is anyone planning to see this movie as I have read that it will be a landmark achievement in special effects.

I'm there Wager. Unfortunately I think the girl from 'That 70's Show' would make a better Mary Jane.

I will not be watching it because it is Green propaganda. It defines the human condition, specifically that of Peter Parker's, along only inheritable biological traits of his spider and primate DNA.

I m just screwing with ya and trying for a laugh. Ya I'll go see it.

Yes, I think that Laura Prepon from 70's show would be good, mind you, I think she could kick Spidey's ass

Season finale for That 70's Show is on May 22. You know, I am from the 70's and that show makes me feel old.

I WAS looking forward to the Spider-Man movie.

That is, until I found out that Kirsten Dunst would play Mary Jane.

I cannot stand Kirsten Dunst.

She's doesn't have the attitude that Mary Jane has. Mary Jane is a take-no-guff, opinionated, stubborn, groovy babe. Kirsten Dunst is too girly-girly for the role.

She'd make a good Gwen Stacy, but not Mary Jane.

I agree, the chick from That 70's Show would be much better.

I also don't like Willem DeFoe as The Green Goblin. He's too dashing, and thin. Norman Osborne should be a little on the pudgy side, a little on the short side, and a little on the bald side. The persona of The Green Goblin should be his way of compensating for his short-comings in the "real world".

I also don't like that Spidey won't have mechanical web-shooters. His web-shooting ability will be a side-effect of the bite he got from a radioactive spider. Bleah.

I like the lizard man. I remember way back when I was a kid reading comics. It was so real back then. My brother and I had the 8 inch dolls of spiderman and the lizard man we would play for hours. Our all time favourites was Planet of the Apes. I hope the new movie doesn't spoil the fantasy.

I have recently become a superhero fan. I know very little about superhero culture but am really interested in it. I am excited to see the movie to help educate me on superhero-ness. My recent metamorphosis into superhero-princess has motivated me to become better acquainted with superpower pop programming. corporate though it may be.
