CNanine was a hoot, plenty of costumes, Land Calrisian signing autographs at $30 a pop, and Data at last exhibiting full human temperment and agreeing to sign autographs only in prepaid private sessions. Picked up another missing item to my Xenozoic Tales collection and got my picture taken with some "web babes" in costume. Many really great costumes there by the participants.Artists drawing and exhibiting their wonderful comic art but little or no "underground" art other than the dregs from the sixties. CD Rom animation playing on laptops is all the rage...

Anime is about Gundam, Pokémon, Sailormoon,....
I don't understand why they feature Star Trek at these expos.
North American SF, comics, and gaming are part of a completely different culture, more related to French bandes dessinées than Japanese animation/manga.
There are (or should be) other fairs and exhibitions for independent/underground comix and art.
