Just saw it on CBC Newsworld - Charlton Heston announced that he has Alzheimers.

Wow. Hopefully this will draw more attention to it and spur more chances to find a cure.

Yep amd he is going to continue with his work in the firearms thingy. Never liked him as an actor. Still, Alzheimers is no fun especially when you know you have it. If you don't know it is the family that is not happy. Whatever it is a shitty thing to have.

I agree with Trinity.

There is another question though: Should Alzheimer's patients have the right to bear arms?

That's right. There are a lot of things he's promoted that many of us find repugnant, but he is an advocate of considerable skill. Here's hoping he can promote some positive gains in research for cures, treatments, and programmes for individuals and families already affected.

I wonder if they'll have to pry his hands from his cold, dead gun.

About a million of those kind of cracks came to my mind when I first heard the news, radio, variations on that very same phrase. Nobody deserves Alzheimers though, not even Charlton Heston, repugnant as I think he is.

There's a slate story that say's his gun can be taken away from him Will Charlton Heston Have To Give Up His Guns?

I find it unlikely that his doctor will report him however. But I wonder if the gun control lobby will kick him when he's down and work to take away his guns??
