This is actually an enema of the private sector.

More from the privatized new Russia.

quote:
It is the latest in a series of bizarre statues to go up throughout the country. A monument to Druzhba processed cheese, showing a crow and a fox holding the cheese in its distinctive packaging, stands near the Druzhba factory in northern Moscow. The cheese was stolen in February but turned up later in a nearby snowdrift.

A statue of a traffic policeman was erected in Belgorod in 2004, while a monument dedicated to the letter --, or yo, was put up in Ulyanovsk in 2005. In May, a statue of a baby coming out of a cabbage was placed outside a maternity hospital in Tomsk.

Russian private sector leaders like oddball statutes.

Romans admired statues and false gods of prosoperity. Their prosperity was derived from slave labour, still the capitalist's wet dream today. Capitalists shovel huge amounts of money into advertising for the purpose of convincing people they need to buy their useless widgets with built-in obseolescence, only to be thrown on capitalist scrapheaps of time. Their expensive brainwashing techniques are the ultimate in waste and economic inefficiency.
