It's not that I'm proud of this bit of self-promotion coming from my home province. But it's been in the news, first as a source of amusement, then as a failed attempt to persuade David Letterman to visit.
quote:It all started a week ago when Mr. Letterman, who was interviewing Halifax-born actress Ellen Page on his Late Show, said he has heard that her home province is beautiful.
"I'd like to go up there," Mr. Letterman told Ms. Page.
"When we heard of Mr. Letterman's interest in Nova Scotia, we couldn't help but extend a warm Nova Scotia welcome," Mr. MacDonald said yesterday in a brief telephone interview, in which he quickly listed Lunenburg, the Cabot Trail and seafood in lauding his province's "top-notch tourism destinations."
On his video, Mr. MacDonald recites a Top 10 list of reasons to visit his province.

Yeah, it's pretty good. As some people have noted, it's clear the premier's writers aren't on strike.

Ahh yes, Balls Creek ... as I recall you have to pass there on your way to the Lick a Chick ... seriously!

I'm not a fan of Rodney MacDonald, but I will admit it's pretty good. It does a good job of capitalizing on Nova Scotia's bit of fame (attached to Ellen Page) and infamy (attached to Celine Dion) of late.
