Actually I thought God's biggest mistake was allowing a creature to evolve that couldn't handle the old predator-prey relationship. It didn't have sharp teeth, or big claws, or great strength, or speed to run away with, or feathers to fly away with.... Being basically useless, it had to fall back on some white and grey matter we now call the brain, previously useful only for preventing its head collapsing. And the rest of the sorry tale, we know. What will be truly astonishing, and delightful, is if these robots somehow develop a co-operative society. Hard-wired as they probably are with the assumptions of this society, this seems doubtful, however.
