There's a new book on the real Robinson Crusoe (Alexander Selkirk). Seems like Defoe left out some good parts about the famous castaway, such as his penchant for dancing (and having sex) with goats.

But Selkirk was a Scots from the wilds of Fife (where sheep is mutton ... and oft-times, a wife). This phenomenon is better explained in the following link: http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0501/beastiality.html
