Now that we have all accepted the validity of Florida's “creative class” theories the market is ripe for the start of a series of self-help/DIY books for members of this new class of extremely sexy people. The recently-published Who's Your City: How the Creative Economy is Making Where to Live the Most Important Decision of You (notice that creative poetic licence employed in contructing the title) is the first of what could very well be a lucrative flurry of books from this highly creative writer aimed at people who identify with this new-found class.

So that's Industrial Capitalists down, Financial Capitalist swamped in a sinking boat as we witness the rebirth of Capitalism under the "creatives."

Thank goodness Vancouver is at the cutting edge of creativism with a visionary political party to replace the dying party of old-guard capitalism. What I don't understand is why these visionary new-wave capitalists are so intent on being perceived as progressives, or to be more precise, more "responsibly" progressive than the tired old left that wore itself out doing battle with the Industrial and Financial Capitalists.

I guess maybe that's what creativity is all about, making hay, rain or shine.
