And now here's something I think you'll really like. Or is at least completely different.

The follies of molecule makers

Yes, believe it or not, there is actually a molecule called Arsole... and it's a ring! It is the arsenic equivalent of pyrrole, and although it is rarely found in its pure form, it is occasionally seen as a sidegroup in the form of organic arsolyls. For more information, see the paper with probably the best title of any scientific paper I've ever come across: "Studies on the Chemistry of the Arsoles", G. Markl and H. Hauptmann, J. Organomet. Chem., 248 (1983) 269. Contrary to popular belief, however, the arsoles are not aromatic...

My father was a chemist. He told me about di-hydroxy chicken wire and HIOAg which meant Hi Ho Silver! These guys have been playing with this stuff for a long time. But, it's just for fun; don't take it seriously.

I guess you've also seen the benzene rings with various words or symbols at the appropriate corners so as to say "paradise", "metaphor", "orthodox", etc. Or maybe the different arrangements of sound system components described as "stereoisomers"?
