There sure seems to be a lot of negative feedback about prognosis using biofeedback for learning prep and identity re-enforcement.
quote: The money is not well spent, according to Dr. Wendy Roberts, a specialist in ADHD at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.
Roberts said she is not convinced that using biofeedback to teach a child strategies to focus their attention and fill in gaps in learning will help them pick up skills.
Cost is mostly a sales gimic than actual requirement as far I know. All that messy equipment is only one angle of using biofeeback. Mental focus is indespensable for 'picking up skills' just as time/duration is relevant to efficiency. Then there is the "skill" question; what are skills and the kinds of/for "skill"? What about quality of/for life sensuous experience and actualization? What about integration of self with the here-now-body? Biofeedback is not a pre-selfconscious act, so it is not a teaching of strategies per se.
