While I may not be able to fit half the number of billiard balls in my mouth as Alan Dershowitz, I concur with his observation that this always comes down to whose ox is being gored.

In Canada, it seems to me the Supreme Court has been following the spirit of the Charter, by more often than not ruling in favour of individual rights and freedoms, and I find it telling that the conservatives feel threatened by this.

No friends of individual liberty are conservatives, in spite of their rhetoric.
