we are always told that there is no test or scan to detect early parkinson's, but in europe there is DaT-SCAN.DaT-SCAN is a radiotracer for SPECT. it is injeced into a vein and detected in the brain using SPECT machines. SPECT machines are considerably less expensive than MRI, and we already have them. DaT-SCAN is made by GE, an american company, but is only marketed in europe. http://www.datscan.com/ why is it desirable to leave sick people undiagnosed for a long as possible? of all the dispicable ways to save a buck.
