This appears to be an "astroturf" PR front for the Pharmaceuticals to attack generic drugs and shill for the WTO.

Intellectual property rights...

From now on, any joke, phrase, paragraph, identifiable way of writing, etc, which is created by me and posted on this board, and which is liable to bring me notoriety or money, is my intellectual property, although I will grant Babble a free licence to copy and distribute said material as they see fit.

However, I retain the rights, and should that material be copied by a third party, I will be forced to take legal action to defend my intellectual property. Please be aware that copying by itself represents an infringment separate from, and equal to, distributing that same material.

In keeping with the possibility that my intellectual property may be copied in an unauthorized manner, I'm planning on requesting a portion of the tariff on Tapes and CD's - which is collected in case the user of said CD or Recording Tape copies someone's intellectual property - to recompense myself for said intelectual property.

Now that we got that out of the way...

Oh, cripes... in light of what maestro wrote, I'm staking a claim on everything like that there he listed, that's produced by "sgm". It's great stuff. Could make me rich.

Oh, ummm... and Max Gordon, too. His stuff'll be worth a bunch.

[11 November 2005: Message edited by: Hephaestion]

Oh, and anything by Magoo... might as well go for the comedy stuff, too.

[11 November 2005: Message edited by: Hephaestion]

And *everything* by Heather Mallick-- whatd'ya mean her stuff is already copyrighted?!?!

maestro--

Re: "touché" -- with a Mac, you press the "option" and "e" keys at the same time, and then just the "e" key. The first action puts in the "´" and the second places the "e" below it (you can use any letter other than "e" if you'd like, too.) If you are using a pee-cee, though, I dunno.

Transplant--

That's kinda what I was getting at... going on a "speculative mining expedition" by "staking a claim on likely future prospects". Who says you need to produce a damn thing yourself? The economic freebooters in the gentics field have demonstrated that this just ain't so..

(Incidentally, I am just waiting for some smarmy PR gnome to come up with an atificially-contrived bullshit "word" similar to the much-loathed -- by me, at least -- "agribusiness" to describe the capitalization and selling off of our bodies and genetic codes by corporate pimps. Makes Shakespeare's "pound of flesh" look quaint by comparison.)

I admit I wasn't thinking in terms other than copyrightable works.

Yes, the whole idea of privatized life forms is insanity. How about calling it DNAnnexation?

edited to add:

Almost forgot...DNAnnexation is a new word which is my intellectual property. Please refrain from using it or posting it elsewhere until you have cleared it with my legal team.
