Media Democracy Day Toronto and Augusta House are proud to present Raise Your Voice, a night of music and momentum featuring DJ M-Dash, DJ MFFN and Babylon Telecom. The event is being held in advance of Media Democracy Day itself, which will be celebrated on Thursday, October 23, 2008.
Media Democracy Day is an annual event held in cities across Canada. In Toronto this year, the theme is "What's Missing in the Media?" - events, workshops and screenings will address the imbalance of power in the Canadian media landscape, as well as providing tools and knowledge for those who wish to get active.
Raise Your Voice will be a night of celebration and collaboration, giving Toronto's media activists and concerned citizens a chance to come together in an upbeat club setting.
