A couple of days ago, a ladybug landed on my arm and stuck in the sucker (Mosquito thoughts?) Bazare but true. In the past, I have often had the same type of bite from shieldbugs on rasberrys. They are supposedly just plant juice suckers. Also, I have a picture on the internet of a worm been eaten by a slug. (A live worm). No idea how the slug caught it, guess it pounced. A really superb thing that i saw last year with an x girlfriend was a leafcutter bee ( large bee and superb flier) waiting impatiently behind a honey bee at a flower. It hovered behind it for about 3 seconds, lost patience and "pucked" it out of the way. Have you any any unusual true nature storys? Please pop them down here. Also, swallows, how do they compete in the wild? Is it just for nesting space or do they fight over the best insect hunting grounds? I have seen them fight sparrows over nesting space but not seen them fight each other over nesting space. Why? Brian
