Charles, it would be easy to reinvigorate them. Just create a new forum and include a link to the old one.

I enjoy having our American friends join our discussions. Many of them have made the effort to find us and I consider them progressive guests. It's encouraging that there are measured and eloquent American bloggers who do not parrot the Bush agenda.

I guess what I was wondering, was why were they locked in the first place? Was this part of the boycott (which doesn't seem appropiate to me).
And Expatriate - don't be an obnoxious asshole. I have gone from feeling sympathetic to those with their issues over this to wishing you'd grow the hell up. To want to boycott is a legitimate action, to behave like an infant not only doesn't help your cause it makes those on the fence think ill of you...
