Imagine a jeep-sized vehicle that will take you, with the idiot-proof wiggle of a computer mouse, wherever you want to go, be it upward 3,000 metres or forward at speeds up to 200 km/h. And all with turn-on-a-dime, almost gyroscopic stability and control, capable of safely threading its way through urban canyons against wind gusts up to 50 km/h

Hmm. Where will we find the fuel for these things?

If and when we successfully develop nuclear fusion or orbital solar collectors, then maybe we should start seriously looking at these things. Until then, they're a luxury we can't afford. Too bad; they look pretty cool.

Imagine how excited the US Military (and/or the Israeli Military) would be if such a vehicle were feasible.

It'd be awfully convenient for suicide bombers, for that matter.

I'm not sure how many suicide bombers could afford the 2.5 mil price tag

Oh, I missed that part.

Fortunately, the average driver probably can't afford it either.
