I was looking at sleeping with the devil: how Washington sold our soul for Saudi crude. Is it a fairly detailed account of the West's relationship with the Saudis? Or does the author's ideological biases compell him to leave important details out? I know that somewhere in the book he suggests that an invasion maybe the only way to save the Arabian peninsula's oilfields from Muslim fundamentalists, so I don't think he's one of us.

This thread seems like it might be more usefully placed in the babblers helping babblers forum.

Hey, or even "babblers helping babblers", if we don't want this thing dropped into the boiling cauldron of the ME forum.
