i study cognitive science at university, this involves artificial intelligence, neuroscience etc... i have been looking at this article done by the BBC in 1999 on the leechulator, this interests me as further development may lead to a computer that can potentially learn in the true sense of the word which we as of yet have been unable to do.

so far i have only come up with 1 other webpages that can tell me anything further than this web page

has anyone else heard more on this?? what do you think of it, shows promise, or a dead end?
