I think, for the purposes of this discussion, we'd have to operationalise what "is" means. Does it mean "existing within a present or past physical reality, either as an artifact in the English (or any) language or as a yet-unarticulated but nonetheless real concept existing in the mind of some speaker", or does "is" refer to some state, independent of present time or an obvious physical reality, but still existing within the Universe as we understand it? I don't think this discussion will go anywhere until this highly controversial and divisive point is settled.
