Everyone knows that BC politics is loopy, swinging back and forth all the time. I think a platform of expanded democracy would appeal well to an electorate that is suffering from political motion-sickness. The Greens already support proportional representation, don't they? If the NDP adopted this it could attract a lot of people otherwise fed up with voting (it's not my favourite democracy policy, but it's a simple one that's easy to understand). Present this as a step towards solving our polarized politics and voters will go for it. As for Greens splitting the vote, I don't think hoards of people will be voting Liberal next time around so I don't mind a little splitting. Whichever party gets in should have a healthy fear of the precariousness of their position. The only good politician is a scared politician.
