Only in Vermont....the seat was not up for re-election last night... but when looking at the senate seats, he counts as one of the "independents" who will mostly vote with the Democrats....Ironically The Dems didn't even bother running anyone against him last time. Through Dems Abroad I know of a few prominent American/Canadians that are Social Democats/Dems including a few in government/highly political roles. (and no, surprisingly Iggy is NOT one of them) I wonder how many "closet" social democrats are in the US congress and senate? I would say there are probably more than you'd expect. Thoughts?

Congressional Progressive Caucus
I don't think we'll see real progress until a third party independent of the corporate parties is able to run and elect people to Congress.
