Been and back. Thing is, they don't seem to know exactly what is wrong. He got flown back from Korea where he's been the last while.

Nothing seems to be immediately life-imperiling, but he has a history of heart problems (had major heart surgery when he was young).

Not a fun time with the Coyote clan.

It sounds like everything is in control, at this point in time, which is a good thing.

Coyote

Hopefully, with some perseverance and strength and support from you and your family, along with some good care, your brother will get through it.

Our thoughts are with you.

Hey. The last two days have been better days, but still serious. Without getting into details, they have to stabilize his heart before they can decide what procedure would be the most appropriate - but they are sure there will have to be open-heart surgery at some point. Hopefully, his levels will be stable enough at some point in the near future to make that call.

He has slept a good deal today, which is a good thing. his breathing is alot better.

God knows how this will end, but we finally have some reason for cautious optimism.

Thanx to everyone for your support.

And Cue, I think i've emailed you a couple things. PM me if they're not getting to you.

Coyote, I didn't even see this thread until now (although I did get your mass e-mail - thanks). I'm so sorry to hear this is happening. All the best to your brother. I hope he's better soon.

Hey all. My brother is stabilized and at my parent's right now. He is out of immediate danger, but it was really touch and go for a while there. It's a trying time, and he's so weak right now (which is hard to take) but at least things look like they're heading in the right direction.

Again, thanx for the support.

Skookum news!

Just stick by him and keep encouraging him to get better. that always helps.

Good to see you back in action here as well.

To love the people with cause and pain
And help them learn to live
Whoe-whoa Not too late

Bro is back in hospital. There are a LOT of loose ends coming from his experiences of a year-and-a-half ago, some of which make me and my family livid with the system (and I won't go into it, but if I have my way there will be some reprecussions, but the important thing is he is in the proper place receiving the proper care from specialists who understand the intricacies of his specialized heart problems (as well as anyone does).

Hopefully this marks the start of some real progress on some long-standing problems. It's scary (open-heart surgery is almost garaunteed to occur in the coming weeks) but promising and the specialists here appear to be quite positive.

Fingers crossed, and all that.

Quick update. Surgery scheduled for second week in September. He's stable and staying with the parents. Couple scary moments in the last while, but the docs maintain their confidence. So, I'll let you know what transpires.
