I can't help noticing that while Société Radio-Canada is wringing its hands on the news about the CBC letting the HNIC theme slip into enemy hands - it is suggested that this is a major catastrophy, even if they mouth the official line -, not a word is uttered about the quiet jettisoning by the suits of BOTH of the SRC's news anchorwomen: Pascale Nadeau and the RDI network's stellar Dominique Poirier. An immense loss for women journalists and for viewers of every gender. "The bastards!" (And on our nickel, too.)

yes, just keep watching the CBC in all of its forms being destroyed and women let go, as part of the Cons mission.
Also, apparently, they feel 3 million for another 40 years of having the theme song was too much of tax payers money and are holding a contest for 100k to find a new theme song.

Give the song to Stompin' Tom. I'm sure the rights could be negotiated amicably.

The new theme sounds like a derivative of 80s sitcom music, as did the other five finalists.
